Schenker NV strengthens service for Iberia

Daily FTL and LTL traffics to all destinations in Spain

As of March 14
th, Schenker NV will be cooperating for all shipments from Belgium to Iberia and vice versa with DB Schenker Spain-Tir as exclusive partner.

ike all other DB Schenker Logistics companies, DB Schenker Spain-Tir offers the full range of integrated logistics solutions: land transport, air freight, ocean freight and contract logistics.

As from now, our customers can count on even more efficient service to Spain and Portugal, including the Balearic Islands and the Canary Islands, facilitated by our sister organization,” Ulrich Pütz, Managing Director, Schenker NV, elaborates. “Thanks to our dense network we are able to offer more departures in both directions and ensure more integrated logistics solutions, with throughgoing high quality standards.

From the land transport locations in Mechelen and Waregem there are daily FTL and LTL traffics to all destinations in Spain and daily joint cargo services to Barcelona and Madrid. Irun and Alicante are serviced twice a week.

DB Schenker Spain-Tir, with its 990 employees, controls 71 terminals and has a warehousing capacity of 140,000 square meters. The land transport division is market leader in Spain. "Every day and night, 350 national and international FTL / LTL and joint cargo services connect Iberia with Europe, allowing us to ensure a standard door to door service Belgium-Spain-Belgium in 48/72 hours," explains Jaume Ballester, President of DB Schenker Spain-Tir.

Schenker NV is the Belgian DB Schenker Logistics company and employs 530 people in six locations: Antwerp (corporate office and ocean freight activities), Brucargo (air freight), Mechelen (land transport), Waregem (land transport), Willebroek (contract logistics and supply chain management) and Zeebrugge (ocean freight).
