Would you like to gain an in-depth view of our activities in Malaysia? Would you like to meet key customers from the high tech industry in the USA? On our program Talents@DB Schenker Logistics you will discover the entire world of logistics.


The Talents@DB Schenker Logistics Trainee Program commences with an induction week in which you will meet the other trainees and gain an initial insight into our company. Over this 18 month period you will work in every important business area in our company. Furthermore, phases abroad will offer you the opportunity to get an overview of our international company culture.


For our trainee program Talents@DB Schenker Logistics we are searching for motivated and dedicated graduates. Your qualifications, professional experience to date and your personality play a key role in the selection process. Concrete requirements are: 

  • A good to very good degree, preferably with a major in logistics
  • Initial professional experience through Internships and/or previous  experience in the logistics sector
  • Advanced English skills and basic German. 
  • Other languages are of benefit
  • Good interpersonal and intercultural skills (internships abroad, etc)
  • Entrepreneurial thinking and independence
  • Advanced analytical skills and conceptualized style of thinking     
  • Good communication and customer service skills
  • Proficient in MS-Office
What you will discover

You will gain an insight into our international company culture and into the business departments: Air and Ocean Freight, Land Transport, Key Account Management/Sales, Contract Logistics/SCM, Finance, HR and IT. You will be working in our head office in Essen, Germany as well as our subsidiaries worldwide. This will offer you an overview of the industry’s complexity and give you the opportunity to build your own network in our company.
During the on-the-job phases you will be introduced to our wide range of business activities whilst being given the opportunity having the chance to gain international and professional experiences. In between the on-the-job phases you will be offered the opportunity to participate in further trainings (off-the-job training) to strengthen e.g. your project management and presentation skills amongst other things. Several workshops will familiarize you with our logistics processes and methods.
Before starting the program, you will have already choosen your target department in which you will be working for the first six months. Afterwards you will get to know our other business units as well.
